GUIDANCE FOR BIOMETRIC PASSPORT APPLICANTS

*Dates of the physical enrolment: 

Monday 3, March 2025 – Friday 7, March 2025

Physical Enrolment process

  • The applicant will be required to attend the physical enrolment in-person.
  • The applicant will be required to submit originals of all supporting documents.
  • The applicants will be required to arrive at the venue 15 minutes prior the appointment time. As delays may affect the whole schedule of the day, applicants are kindly requested to notify any delay to Mr. NDENGUE BENG Rodrigue, the Embassy’s local Contact Person for this operation.  
  • Applicants not living in Bangkok are kindly requested to remain in the city for 48h after their physical enrolment. It sometimes happens that an application submitted online to DGSN/PASSCAM be rejected for multiple reasons. When this is the case, the applicant will be invited for a second physical enrolment.
  • Applicants have been registered within groups (A-J) and participants have received their group affiliation by email. This information could also be obtained from the Embassy’s Contact Person.

*Supporting documents for physical enrolment:

  • Coversheet for Passport Application Physical Enrolment
  • Online enrolment form
  • Original Birth Certificate AND a photocopy
  • Original AND photocopy of the Old/previous/current Passport
  • Original AND photocopy of a valid or expired Cameroon Identity Card (NIC).
  • Consular Card Legalised (will be included in the applicant’s file by the Embassy).
  • Original AND photocopy of the Resident Card or visa.
  • Original AND photocopy of a document proving the social status [employment contract, student card, school certificate, employer’s letter (in English/French)].
  • Consular Fees of 22 000 Japanese yens (only Japanese yens will be accepted). These fees include administrative fee, consular card fee, and DHL fee to send applicant’s passport from Japan to Thailand).
  • (Additional document for Married women) Original AND photocopy of the Cameroonian Marriage Certificate.
  • (Additional document for minors)
  • Parental Authorization signed by one of the Cameroonian parents.
  • Photocopy of parent’s passport/birth certificate, NIC/Consular Card AND proof of residence in Thailand.

After the physical enrolment

  • At the end of the Physical enrolment, the passport application will be submitted online. Then DGSN will check the application, validate it if there is no problem, and produce the passport. It shall take 14 days for the passport to arrive at the Embassy in Tokyo, and another 4-10 days for the Embassy to register the passport within PASSCAM system and ICAO data base and then sent to Thailand.
  • (IMPORTANT) In case the applicant receive a message by email from DGSN/PASSCAM notifying that the application submitted during the physical enrolment has been rejected, this is what to do immediately after receiving the message:
  • Send an email to rejet@passcam.cm to request :
    • (1) the reason for the rejection, and
    • (2) the reopening of the application file so the Embassy can re-enrol the applicant before the end of the session.
