2026.01.05 ATTENTION!   NEW  Application procedure for Laissez-Passer applications (Ordinary and Mortuary).         

As from January 5, 2026, Laissez-Passer application is done exclusively online .

As from January 5, 2026, Laissez-Passer application is done exclusively online via (https://www.evisacam.cm/ords/dl_portal/r/public_portal/home). Each applicant is kindly requested to register and go through online pre-enrolment for Laissez-Passer.

After filling the form during this online pre-enrolment, the applicant will be required to upload all supporting documents listed below and pay the Laissez-Passer fee online before submitting the application.

The validity period of the Laissez-passer is 30 days.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ORDINARY LAISSEZ-PASSER

FOR AN ADULT

□ Copy of Birth Certificate;

□ Copy of National Identity Card (even expired) or Consular Card;

□ Any other Cameroonian identification document with a photo;

□ Copy of resident card, work or study permit or entry visa;

□ Copy of the previous passport or a certificate of passport loss;

□ Flight itinerary to Cameroon (confirmation of reservation, voucher, e-ticket, etc);

□ Proof of payment  [Fee of 75,000 XAF (around 115 Euros including bank fees) payable online].

FOR A KID OR MINOR (ACCOMPANIED OR UNACCOMPANIED)

□ Copy of the Birth Certificate;

□ Passport copy of the parent/guardian (and/or the adult traveling with the kid);

□ Flight itinerary to Cameroon (confirmation of reservation, voucher, e-ticket, etc);

□ Legalized  “Parental Authorization to travel from abroad to Cameroon” (form to be downloaded, duly filled, dated and signed by the parent ; and sent to the Embassy for its legazation) ;

□ Proof of payment  [Fee of 75,000 XAF (around 115 Euros including bank fees) payable online].

□ (Optional) Copy of the previous passport or a certificate of passport loss

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR MORTUARY LAISSEZ-PASSER

□ Copy of the information/identity page of the passport or Birth certificate of the deceased;

□ Copy of the death Certificate;

□ Non-contagion certificate;

□ Cause of death certificate;

□ Authorization for body transfer (issued by hospital or other competent authorities, funeral company);

□ Burial Permit;

□ Embalming information (certificate or letter from the funeral company);

□ Sealing document (certificate or letter from the funeral company);

□ Proof of payment [Fee of 100,000 XAF (around 153 Euros including bank fees) payable online].

NOTE TO RESIDENTS IN JAPAN – KOREA – AUSTRALIA – NEW-ZEALAND – OTHERS

□ Please check with the airline company and the Immigration Bureau of the country of residence whether the original document of the Laissez-passer will be required to travel or whether the online Laissez-Passer will be accepted.

□ In case the original document of the Laissez-Passer will be required, the applicant will have to arrange the shipping of the document from the Embassy to the place of residence via (DHL, FEDEX, EMS, other). 

PAYMENT & EXPEDITION

For residents in Japan

Send a prepaid envelope LETTER PACK for sending the travel document, with your address already filled. For minors, send also the parental authorization document with 500 yen for legalization.

 For residents abroad

 About fees

For minors, the parental authorization has to be legalized. Send the original form duly filled, dated and signed and enclose 500 yen. Only  JPY is accepted.

Those who have relatives or friends in Japan may ask them for the payment.

 About returning fees:

The Embassy discharge of paying the expedition, even fee is sent apart. The applicant is required to ask to DHL of their country for applying a pick up at the Embassy to DHL JAPAN, with payment on delivery. 

If you already have an account number especially for collect (Payer Account Number), don’t forget to mention it on a letter and joint a DHL airway bill for return.

The other option is to ask to an correspondant residing in Japan to receive the travel document and to send it to the applicant. 

IMPORTANT

  • No appointment for application. Those who came will be not received.
  • The Embassy accepts documents and fees by postal mail only.
  • Validity of the Laissez-passer: one month from the day before of the departure.
  • Application processing time: 08 to 10 opening days.
