In the event of the death of a Cameroonian in Japan and in other countries, the individuals responsible for the repatriation of the deceased remains are required to apply for a Death certificate and Mortuary Laissez-passer (see section Laissez-passer).

Requirements for application of DEATH CERTIFICATE:

1. Request addressed to the Ambassador;
2. Original or photocopy of deceased’s passport (if available);
3. Original or copy of the Birth Certificate of the deceased;
4. Original or copy of the Death Certificate from the competent authority (hospital, local/national authorities);
5. A translation into English or French of the said certificate, if it is in foreign language.
6. Costs: free
