ISSUANCE FOR A LAISSEZ-PASSER FOR CAMEROONIAN RESIDENTS IN JAPAN & ABROAD

IMPORTANT

  • No appointment for application. Those who came will be not received.
  • The Embassy accepts documents and fees by postal mail only.
  • Validity of the Laissez-passer: from the day before of the departure, for 10 days to 02 weeks.
  • Application processing time: 08 to 10 opening days.
  • BEFORE SENDING DOCUMENTS, kindly email a reachable telephone number to the Embassy.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR AN ADULT

Checkboxes sheet for Laissez-passer to download to tick, date and sign;
A handwritten application letter (containing names, address and contacts of the applicant);
Application form for Laissez-passer to  download,  duly completed and signed;
□ Copies of Birth Certificate, Cameroon National Identity Card  (if available, even expired) ;
□ 1 photos (passport or ID size) ;
□ Flight itinerary to Cameroon (confirmation of reservation, voucher, e-ticket, etc);
□ A copy of the lost / expired passport;
□ Fee of 20,000 JPY (cash in Japanese Yen only);

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR A MINOR

Checkboxes sheet for Laissez-passer   to download to tick, date and sign;
A handwritten application letter by the parent who will accompany the child (containing names, address and contacts of the applicant) ; in  mentioning the  name of parent(s)  (or friend) who will accompany ;
Application form for Laissez-passer to  download,  duly completed and signed;

Parent’s documents : original of Birth Certificate, Cameroon National Identity Card and the Marriage Certificate;

In case the child is accompanied by a family’s friend, enclose the following:
* “Parental Authorization to travel from abroad to Cameroon”  to   download ,  duly filled, dated and signed by the parent; or,
“Parental Authorization” to travel from Cameroon to abroad” ( country of residence of parents )   to download,  duly filled, dated and signed by the parent (s) ;
□ Fee of 500 JPY for legalization;
□ ID documents of that person who will accompany the child.
□ Original of Birth Certificate of the child, or, its certified copy with 3 months validity ;  in case there is no Cameroonian Birth Certificate and only hospital’s medical birth certificate, a copy with its official translation in English (by an approved translation company) ;
□ 1 photo (passport or ID size);
□ Flight itinerary to Cameroon (confirmation of reservation, voucher, e-ticket, etc) if available;
□ A copy of the lost / expired passport;
□ Fee of 20,000 JPY for the fees (cash in Japanese Yen);
□ Returning fees according to options mentioned below (tick correspondent checkbox).

NOTE TO RESIDENTS ABROAD

□ First of all, check with the airline company(ies) and the Immigration Bureau of the country of residence if copies of the Laissez-passer or if its original is compulsory.
□ In case original is required, there is the expedition fees (DHL, FEDEX, EMS) has to be added.

For residents in Japan

Fees  to be enclosed with the whole set of documents in a big envelope by genkinkakitome from the Post Office.

A prepaid envelope LETTER PACK for returning your documents, with your address already filled.

 For residents abroad

About bank transfer:

Fees for the document and for its expedition can be sent by bank transfer, by adding bank charge that can’t be determined in advance. In that case, be aware that you have to add 6,000 JPY to 8,000 JPY, depending on the amount you are sending and the rate of the day. Please refer to your local bank.

If you have an acquaintance residing in Japan, he can send by postal mail by registered mail for cash.

About returning fees:

EMS fees from Japan to Australia and New-Zealand: 3,150 JPY
(rate can be changed anytime. Please refer to the website of the Post)

DHL approximate fees from Japan to:  Australia and New-Zealand: 16,000JPY
(rate can be changed anytime. Please refer to the website of the DHL).

If you already have an account number especially for collect account (Payer Account Number), don’t forget to mention it on your DHL airway bill.

Before sending the set of documents, inform us in advance by email your choice:

I have transfered EMS fees for the amount of ……JPY.
I have a DHL account for payment on delivery.
I will call the local DHL for pick up to DHL JAPAN.
I have transfered  in total the amount of  ….. JPY.
I sent cash through an acquaintance resident in Japan the amount of….. JPY.
