IMPORTANT : NEW APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR THE CONSULAR CARD
The Government of the Republic of Cameroon has introduced a new secured and biometric Consular Card identity for all Cameroonian national established abroad.
As from January 5, 2026, Consular Card application is done exclusively online via (https://www.evisacam.cm/ords/dl_portal/r/public_portal/home). Each applicant is kindly requested to register and go through online pre-enrolment for Consular Card.
The payment of the Consular Card fee will be required during this pre-enrolment phase.
Following the submission of the application online with all required supporting documents, if the application is approved, then the applicant will be invited to visit the Embassy for the physical enrolment and the card will be printed instantly.
ATTENTION!
1-It is compulsory to be in possession of a valid machine readable passport when applying for the Consular card. Otherwise, even if the online pre-enrolment is successfully achieved, the applicant will not be able to undergo the physical enrolment at the Embassy.
2- Original copies of all supporting document submitted online will be checked during the physical enrolment at the Embassy.
3- In the nearest future, having a valid Consular Card will be a requirement for each Cameroonian national wishing to apply for a consular service at the Embassy.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSULAR CARD
- Birth Certificate ;
- Certificate of Nationality (to be requested at the Embassy prior the consular card application) ;
- Passport (valid machine readable passport) ;
- National Identity Card even expired (if available) ;
- Certificate of employment/Proof of employment/Proof of schooling (if applicable);
- Marriage certificate (if applicable);
- Permanent or provisional resident permit or proof of residence in the host country;
- Consular Card Fee (25,000 XAF, around 40 Euros including bank fees) payable online.
